European Union Leads the Way

The pandemic has severely impacted European tourism in beachside resorts all along the Baltic Sea, such as in this beautiful resort town in northern Germany, Timmendorfer Strand. While some businesses may be able to sustain a reprieve from vacationers, many are not so lucky. Ultimately, it is those who have saved and prepared for the worst, or those who have found creative ways to stay relevant and engaged, who will remain afloat.

However, there is a glimmer of hope for the future. While the European Union is behind both the United Kingdom and the United States in vaccination rates, we are indeed on the road to recovery. Our leaders are not promising a return to normal life by the end of spring, or even summer. But what is happening is that there are daily discussions across every industry that lead me to believe Europe will emerge not only stronger, but also wiser, from this pandemic.
